UUniqueSound is a young French/American startup, which won the Midemlab competition in 2015, and which claims to be the first platform to find and hire music composers.

Currently in beta, UniqueSound allows composers and sound designers to create portfolios to showcase their work, and to get hired directly by clients – including global brands, advertising agencies, production companies, directors, and music supervisors.

In this WeSpin Recipes interview, conducted after our meeting at the Midem conference, the company’s COO Alexandre Imbeaux explained how exactly the platform works both for composers and brands, how to apply, and what are the various advantages of having a UniqueSound profile.
